I make no apologies for more photos of Norfolk Hawker as I still find it incredible that we have it in 2 locations (so far) in Shropshire. Roger Wilkinson saw a mating pair and 1 individual inflight on 19th June -quite possibly the same ‘group’ seen by Ron Kinrade. Roger’s photo of the mating pair allows us to see just how similar in appearance the male and females are!

Elsewhere Mark Underwood saw this female Golden-ringed Dragonfly – again fairly similar to the male but has a long ovipositor extending beyond the end of the abdomen, she has a stockier body than the male and she also has gently rounded hind margins to the wings- not the acutely angled margins seen in the male.
