Well it seems like ages since I have posted thanks to all the much needed rain (currently replenishing my pond!), but between the showers dragons and damsels are flying when they can. Chris Shaw has sent in some lovely photos taken at Bettisfield Moss; firstly this wonderful Four-spotted Chaser forming an arc with it’s reflection, and below 2 lovely shots of Black Darter both in cop and a single male in flight. Julian Cartwright has also been watching the White-legged Damselflies at Preston Montford and has sent in a couple of great photos of the male- clearly showing the flattened tibiae (lower limbs) and the chestnut coloured pterostigma.
