Many of us have been lucky enough to witness emerging dragonflies, but I always find sights like this incredible. Jenny Allaway has sent in this photo of Common Clubtail emerging on the banks of the River Severn and it just brings home what an extraordinary transformation this is; from mud covered larva to an almost ‘alien-like’ emerging adult!
