Still only 31st March, but sitting with a glass of wine in the garden yesterday things felt very summery! As this fair weather spell continues keep your eyes open for the first Large Red Damselflies of the year. Usually they emerge in another 2-3 weeks, but who knows what 2025 will bring? This pair were photographed by Geoff Hall last year and in Shropshire you can’t really mistake them for any other species. Happy hunting!
