Geoff Hall has sent in this pair of Darters in cop seen at The Bog. At a glance all seems well until you realise the male is a Black Darter and the female a Common Darter! I can only assume the heat is taking it’s toll! To return to normality, the lovely photo below shows 2 of the same species in tandem – Common Darters. Geoff has also sent a great head on photo of Migrant Hawker (below right) illustrating diagnostic reduced antehumeral stripes on the thorax.
