Incredibly Jan Shields ventured out last Thursday in the unbelievable heat to Cramer Gutter where she managed to record our first and only Keeled Skimmer sightings so far for this year. The female is beautifully photographed (left and below left) and a very old battle weary male (below right). I think Jan was then rewarded for her efforts with a visit from 2 Southern Hawker females ovipositing in synch at her garden pond!
