Seems it’s been a long time coming, but things are picking up a little and I’ve had the first Chasers emerging from my pond finally. Jan Shields has sent in these lovely photos of Banded Demoiselles seen at Attingham Park including one devouring a large mayfly and another sadly seeming trapped in an unsuccessful emergence.
Paul Roughley has sent in a great photo of Clubtail exuviae -57 to be precise! All seen recently on the River Severn near Crewgreen -right on the English-Welsh border. He also pictured this female White-legged Damselfly (far below right). Fingers crossed the imminent warm and sunny spell becomes a reality!
