Tricky April weather and tricky recording as I am unable to check iRecord for incoming records due to a security issue- hopefully soon to be resolved! Despite this the first Large Red Damselfly has been seen on Whixall Moss today and I’m grateful to Stephen Barlow for having the patience to seek it out! No photos yet so I’ve posted one of Geoff Halls fabulous shots of a male and female in tandem from last year. Fingers crossed we return to the warmth of spring and damselflies and dragonflies really get going…
