Two more species are on the wing with Golden-ringed Dragonfly (left and below left) being seen by Jan Shields at Pole Cottage on the Longmynd and Black-tailed Skimmer being recorded by Chris Shaw in Telford (below right). Club-tailed Dragonfly has been turning up in a range of places from the Wyre Forest to Pontesbury and Minsterley and this amazing photo was taken by Alexandra Manojlovic in Llanymynech of a large Demoiselle lunch! Elsewhere Tim Walter has been seeing White-legged Damselflies in Bridgnorth (far below right) and Geoff Hall has sent in these lovely photos of Red-eyed Damselfly (very far below left) seen at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and Broad-bodied Chaser (very far below right) seen near Wistanstow.

In other news there have been sightings in Staffordshire at Belvide Reservoir of numerous Red-veined Darters and Lesser Emperors so keep your eyes out for possible sightings of these too…
