Hawker head on!

By August 25, 2016Blog

A fabulous shot of a Common Hawker head on showing clearly the narrow antehumeral (shoulder) stripes on the top of the thorax and the yellow costa (leading vein of the wings). This great shot was taken by Ron Parnell as he enjoyed these insects along with Emerald and Common Blue Damselflies and Brown Hawkers up on the Long Mynd.
