Missing the sunshine!

Just a couple of great photos to brighten a soggy Friday! This ovipositing female Brown Hawker Aeshna grandis was observed by P. Spear at Dudmaston Pools along with Common Blue and Blue-tailed Damselflies and Common and Ruddy Darters. Paul also saw quite a late Azure Damselfly and indeed I also saw one up on the Long Mynd this week.

Paul also visited Whixall Moss this week where this White-legged Damselfly was observed- again getting quite late in the season for this species.

Still no word of Migrant Hawkers…..
