The great news is that the increased effort being made by people looking for Clubtails is really getting results. Starting with a few individual sightings at Atcham by R.Stokes and Hampton Loade by D.Williams (seen here on the left) things have now really picked up. P.Spear reported over 10 males and females at Coalbrookdale and David Tompkins (coordinating the Clubtail Survey) reports that exuviae have now been found by surveyors in most 1km squares on the River Severn from the Worcestershire border as far as just south of Bridgnorth which is great! David has found exuviae on the River Severn right in the middle of Shrewsbury too- as shown in the photos below.
Far easier to spot the exuvia on a wooden fishing platform than on the earth banks!
