More sunshine dragged me away from the computer this afternoon and though sightings were far from numerous I did see my first Blue-tailed Damselflies for this year at Mousecroft Pool in Shrewsbury. Many had recently emerged and a good number of exuviae were visible on the reeds. The picture on the right shows a female immature form called rufescens with a pink thorax.
