An interesting record has been received from M. Rogers who saw this Golden-ringed Dragonfly on 21st July at Severn Valley Country Park, Alveley. This species is typically associated with a few acidic running water sites in Shropshire. The closest previous record is approximately 40km to the south at Postensplain, Wyre Forest. I have also had an unconfirmed report of this species on the River Onny at Craven Arms. It would be very useful to hear of any other unusual Golden-ringed sightings and certainly any more reports from the River Onny.
