Jan Shields has been enjoying the Keeled Skimmers at Cramer Gutter and sent in this amazing photo of a Common Lizard lurking behind a male…and incredibly not eating it! I often find you can get surprisingly close to a dragonfly if you approach from behind…just a couple of days ago I shared a bench for sometime with a Black Darter at The Bog! Jan’s photos show the diagnostic ochre pterostigma of the male (left) and female (right) as well as yellow antenodal cross veins particularly visible on this female. This is a Shropshire rarity that has been spreading it’s wings a bit so definitely worth sending in your sightings if you spot one…
