White-legged Damselflies on Rea Brook

Having spent a frustrating cloudy hour stood at Rea Brook yesterday I was very pleased to hear from David Williams who had been the day before and seen everything! Banded and Beautiful Demoiselles, Large Red and Azure Damselflies and several White-legged Damselflies- captured beautifully below.

This is a great shot showing clearly the quite distinctive pale chestnut pterostigma or wing spots and the broad expanded lower legs or tibiae.
