Club sandwich

By June 15, 2021Blog

Andy Beech has sent in this photo of a female Clubtail lunching on what we think is/was a damselfly. This individual was seen in Copthorne Park away from the River Severn. The majority of records are usually made on the River Severn as this species can disperse some distance once emerged and be therefore quite elusive. Interestingly this year however I have received a number of adhoc clubtail sightings and indeed have encountered this species myself unexpectedly.
