Admittedly not the most impressive pictures, but I thought if I was declaring the start of the flight season I had better prove it! A good number of teneral Large Red Damselflies were seen today at Preston Montford FSC (on the larval course) and a good number of exuviae collected. Hopefully things will warm up by the end of next week and hopefully we’ll have some much better photographs than my attempts! I look forward to hearing/seeing your sightings…
